Notes on this conversion
A PDF fixes each glyph at a page coordinate. A .docx describes paragraphs, styles and tables that reflow when edited. Conversion reconstructs that structure from the finished layout, so the result is an editable approximation rather than an identical original. Prose and ruled tables convert reliably when the PDF carries a text layer. Heading levels are inferred from type size, so a title and a first-level section can collapse onto one style. Images are placed in the .docx where they appear, scaled to fit the page. Multi-column layouts, footnotes, text set inside figures and substituted fonts need review. A scanned PDF has no text layer: each page arrives as a picture, so its text cannot be edited or searched.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the formatting be preserved when converting PDF to Word?
Our AI-powered converter reconstructs text formatting, tables and headings as closely as the finished layout allows. Images are placed in the document. Complex layouts with custom fonts usually need some adjustment.
Can I edit the converted Word document?
Yes, the output is a fully editable .docx file. You can modify text, add comments, change formatting, and use all Word features.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes, as pictures. A scanned PDF is a set of page images with no text layer, so each page is placed in the document as an image and its text cannot be edited. Editable text from a scan needs OCR, which this conversion does not run.
