Notes on this conversion
One PNG becomes one single-page PDF. The page is sized from the image rather than fitted to A4 or Letter, so nothing is scaled down and no margins appear that you did not ask for. PDF cannot store an alpha channel, so a PNG carrying transparency is composited onto a white background first — deliberately, rather than being left for the encoder to discard, which is what produces black patches in some other tools. This route handles one image at a time and will not merge several PNGs into a single document. Images are accepted up to 100 megapixels, which is far above any ordinary photograph or scan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I combine several PNGs into one PDF?
Not on this route. Each image becomes its own single-page PDF, one file in and one file out. Merging the pages afterwards is a separate operation.
What happens to transparency?
It is composited onto white before the page is written. PDF has no alpha channel, and doing the flattening deliberately is what keeps transparent regions coming out white rather than black.
Is the page A4?
No. The page takes its dimensions from the image, so the picture fills it exactly and nothing is rescaled or padded with margins you did not ask for.
